ABOUT CARYS
At the young age of 12, Carys embarked on her beekeeping journey, following in her uncle's footsteps, and went on to establish the Gwenynfa Pen y Bryn Apiary, dedicated to crafting exceptional honey. From the outset, Carys began showcasing her honey at various competitions, steadily accumulating awards for her honey and honey-based products, including honey jams and honey marmalades.

Bees were introduced to the Edwards family when a swarm landed on a plum tree in the front garden of the farm back in the 1930’s.

MENTORING
Pen y Bryn Apiary, currently 150 hives, is the home to Welsh Native Black Bees. Carys’s rich history of beekeeping dates back to the 1930’s, where a swarm landed on a plum tree in the front garden. Generations of beekeeping make Carys the perfect mentor in becoming a beekeeper.
